Pispaj...
Let this be a new word in English language, pispaj is speciality from the ancient Croatian cuisine. It's everyone's favourite treat.
Just the bread dough shaped in rounds and fried, sprinkle with sugar or enjoy plain instead of bread.

ReplyDeleteWe have this treat only once or twice a year, just to repeat the days from our childhood.
Probably better to spell them as "Pispay" as their rough pronunciation. Sounds like something my boss gives me every fortnight. They look great!
